A blog for anti-ableist content

a blog for showcasing expressions of disability originating in and ignored by institutions

about the blog
Institutional Model is a blog, maintained by disabled art education professor Bert Stabler, that grew out of the work of an access advocacy group that he co-founded with disabled anthropology student and disability studies scholar Rebecca-Eli Long. While it functions primarily as a forum for work by disabled conceptual artists, the larger purpose of Institutional Model is to create a platform for narrative and creative work by anyone in any institutional setting responding to the institutional erasure and enforcement of disabling experiences.
