This is a piece created by Tyler Shore, a member of the Scholars with Diverse Abilities Program at Appalachian State University.


The image appears to be a monochrome painting on paper using different shades of red, from nearly white to nearly black,attached to a wall with transparent tape. The image is of a young woman with long, full hair, with a strong light source on the viewer's right. The style involves large distinct dabs of paint, without much apparent mixing of shades. Tyler Shore's name is typed on a small tag attached to the bottom of the piece.
